Hegartys forthcoming auction on Sunday 3rd April at 4pm features a large collection (500 lots) of quality antiques and collectables, jewellery silver and art.
Of particular interest to collectors of small period items of furniture is a one-owner offering of six 19th century Victorian and Regency sewing and works tables, amassed over the past 20 years. T
hey include rare oval walnut sidepod support marquetry inlaid Ladies’ works table with fitted interior estimated at €1500/2500. Other items of interest from the furniture selection are a Regency rosewood foldover card table circa 1810 est. €1500/2500, Victorian mahogany two-door library bookcase est. €1000/2000, a rare Chinese Artist’s easel circa 1900 est. €2000/3000 , a Victorian dining room table and chairs, 40 items of silver, one-owner collection of eight oil lamps . Collectables are well represented with a collection of 100 items approx. including a pair of Satsuma porcelain vases, approx. 16” high est. €1000/2000, five Victorian oil lamps with varying estimates from €100 to €600, a large 19th century pier mirror, approx. 10’ x 4’ which carries an estimate of €1500/2500. There will be approx. 20 items of jewellery including three-stone diamond ring, 18ct gold necklace. Art will feature a Markey Robinson work with an accompanying letter of authentication from his daughter, est. €2000/4000.
For the interior decorator and home-owner, there are many items of interest, including Victorian pedestal sideboard, marquetry inlaid two-door cabinet and a two-pillar mahogany dining room table. For outdoor enthusiasts, there will be a garden section of approx. 20 items, including a pair of large Garden stone urns and a stone trough.
The auction will include 500 lots and viewing will take place all Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
