Hegarty Antiques & Fine Art Auctions are pleased to announce that they have been favoured with the sale of the contents of Willowbank House, Carrigaline, Co. Cork. These items have been moved for convenience of sale to the Auction Rooms at the Bypass, Bandon, Co. Cork where they will be auctioned together will the residue of some other Cork Estates on Sunday, 14th September 2014 at 4pm.
Highlights of the sale will include Regency Cork mahogany foldover tea table est. €2000/3000, Irish Georgian mahogany linen press est. €2000/4000, Regency Irish rosewood chiffonier est. €1500/2500, Irish Georgian mahogany side table est. €3000/5000, 19th century boulle tortoiseshell & brass inlaid, ormolu mounted clock est. €1500/2500, 19th century brass inlaid library table est. €2500/3500, a French Empire walnut and marquetry inlaid Ladies’ works table est. €1500/2500, an Irish 19th century walnut Ladies’ workbox est. €1500/2500.
A 19th century Minton & Co. porcelain figures of Miranda est. €1200/1800 and a Worcester porcelain figure of the water carrier est. €1400/1800 will be among the many items of Oriental & European porcelain, including Satsuma, Celadon, Copeland, Worcester, Minton etc.
Of interest to Chinese buyers will be an antique jade bowl and a spinach jade group as well as 18th century Chinese carved wood and gilded scenes, possibly originally from a screen. Collectables will include a 19th century Tunbridge ware jewellery box along with 18th & 19th century Irish & English silver, jewellery will also feature.
Viewing will take place on Saturday, 13th Sept. from 12 – 6pm, and on Sunday 14th September from 12 -4pm, when auction starts.
