Public Viewing is currently underway for Hegarty Fine Art & Antiques May sale on Tuesday, 26th May.
This auction will include fine furniture and works of art, principally the contents of a single owner collection amassed over the last 30 years at various auctions and fairs around Ireland, along with part II of a coin and bank notes collection from Kinsale. Furniture to include a 19th century Irish tea table est. €2000/4000, a George III mahogany wine table est. €1500/2500, a 19th century rosewood library table est. €2000/3000, a walnut break front credenza side cabinet, circa 1880 est. €2000/4000, Victorian mahogany pedestal desk est €800/1200, a large collection of coins inc. silver coins from Charles II to modern times, including many crowns.
19th century Irish, English & Continental porcelain also feature, including Belleek “Rathmore” cream glaze jardinière, decorated with applied floral sprigs and rose heads, with two birds, 8″ / 20cm high, with black printed mark 1891-1926 est. €150/250, and Set of three Belleek green and cream glazed scallop tea cups and saucers, the cups with three whelk feet, together with a sugar basin and cream jug and two extra saucers, with black printed mark 1890-1926 moderately estimated at €50/100.
