October Auction features contents of Elm House, Grange, Douglas.

Hegarty’s next sale will take place at Hegarty Auction rooms at the Bypass, Bandon on Tuesday,  27th October 2015 at 6pm.  This auction will feature the contents of Elm House, Grange, Douglas.
Furniture will include an 18th century Irish mahogany longcase Grandfather clock est. €4000/6000, a 19th century rosewood Davenport writing desk  est. €1200/1800, a 19th century Irish library centre table  est. €2500/3500, a Regency Irish mahogany card table  est. €2000/3000, six interesting large antique Persian wool rugs with estimates ranging from €800/1200 to €3000/5000, a pair of cast iron canons  est. €2000/4000, Irish 18th century pier mirror, provenance: owned previously in collection of Mariga Guinness of Mountjoy square.  Includes extensive collection of Edwardian, Victorian & some Georgian drawing room and occasional furniture, giltwood & over mantle mirrors, 19th century glass, Irish & English 19th century silver, coins to include a William & Mary half crown 1689, a collection of art to include an interesting set of three early 18th century marine prints of the Battle of St. Vincent, along with three watercolours circa 1910 of Thames Barges by William Varley.
Viewing will commence on Saturday 24th Sept 12-5pm, and continue Sunday 25th 2-5pm, Monday 26th 12-5pm & Tuesday 27th (day of sale) from 12-6pm, when auction starts.
