We are starting off the autumn auction season on a high with an auction to include contents from 28 O’Connell Street, Kinsale, a fine example of a Georgian town house, adjoined to Kinsale Yacht Club, and the home of the late James McManus, an artist, and a man with an eye for fine art, antique furniture and architecture.

Public Viewing Dates: Friday 8th 12-5pm, Saturday 9th 12-5pm, and Sunday 10th 2-4pm when auction begins
Highlights in Furniture include:
A VERY FINE 19TH CENTURY MAHOGANY CONSOLE TABLE, with green marble top, which rests on a base with “S” scrolled leg supports with carved lions’ paw feet, a platform base beneath and mirrored back, 51.5”x 18.5”x37.5” approx
A FINE ROSEWOOD OCTAGONAL CENTRE TABLE, with intricate band of inlaid leaf detail to the cross-banded perimeter of the table top, raised on a central carved column, with 4 turned and carved supports, sitting on a quadra form base, with bun feet, 42” x 42” x 30” approx
There is a selection of carved Irish bog oak items, including;
3 IRISH BOG OAK CARVED PIPES, two with clover and harp design and one in the shape of a pot
A CHINESE YIXING TEA POT, in the very unusual form of a curved piece of bamboo, artist’s stamp beneath, with a lid top in the form of mouse, 19th century, 19cm high
